Dr. Julia Alleyne is well-known and highly regarded in the academic world. Chief Medical Officer for the Canadian Olympic team in London (2012) and Chief Medical Officer for the Pan Am and Parapan Am Games in Toronto.
She is a certified curriculum developer and course leader, having created the 5 Weekend Family Practice Leadership Certificate Program with the University of Toronto Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM), in 2005. In 2009, Julia completed the M.Sc. (CH) (Health Professions Teachers Education) at the University of Toronto.
In addition to being a faculty member at the University of Toronto, Dr. Julia chairs the Primary Care Sport Medicine and Exercise Fellowship, and is a funded researcher in the area of Women’s Health and Educational Methodology. Specifically, she is Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Toronto Department of Family and Community Medicine.
Over the past 25 years, she has served from time to time as Assistant Clinical Professor at both the University of Toronto’s DFCM and the Department of Surgery, as well as at McMaster University’s School of Rehabilitation Science. She also offers services as a Medical Course Consultant for both online and in-person courses.
